To say you have a headache does not begin to describe this phenomenon. There are
tension-type headaches, migraine, cluster, organic and rebound headaches. Headaches
can plaque young children, even babies, and headaches can stop the strongest and
bravest in their tracks. Chronic tension-type headaches may be the result of stress or
fatigue, but more than likely, they can be attributed to physical problems, psychological
issues or depression. A pattern of chronic tension-type headaches generally begins
between the ages of 20 and 40. Chronic headaches may cause the muscles between
your head and neck to contract for hours or days, or even soreness or a tightening band
around your head, pulling or pressure sensations.
Cluster headaches was once considered a migraine because it is vascular.
Symptoms of a cluster headache is that usually it is unilateral and rarely switches from
sides from one attack to another. You might feel a pain begin around one eye, “like a
nail or knife stabbing or piercing” you eye.
There are several types of Migraine headaches and they all share the same basic
features. Generally migraines often begins as a dull ache and ten develops into a
constant, throbbing and pulsating pain the you may feel at your temples, as well as the
front or back of one side of the head. While most migraine sufferers experience visual
problems during the headache, some may begins with aura, a manifestation of
neurological symptoms. Usually the aura begins five to thirty minutes before the actual
onset of the headache and one may see wavy or jagged lines, dots or flashing lights or
even experience tunnel vision or blind spots.

to inform your physician so that he or she can make the proper diagnosis as well as
